Beast In Heels Quotes

"I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning to sail my ship." -Louisa May Alcott

Can You Find YOU?

Several months ago I described a Beast in Heels: a phenomenal woman who handles the miry of day-to-day tasks while still maintaining a sassy yet feminine aura. Women of today wear so many different hats that vary from mother and wife to executive or full-time student to lover and supporter. My hat list is increasing daily: corporate newbie, writer, girlfriend, daughter, sorority sister, friend, and student. I looked at my list and realized something very vital was missing: Self Care. Look at your hat list and try to find YOU. Are you there? Taking care of yourself is vital to keep your sanity intact. Pamper yourself, pray, chill, read, write, exercise, or whatever it is that makes you feel good!

Sometimes we also have to realize that we are not meant to be everything all the time. Evaluate your list. Is there anything on there that is adding unnecessary stress and not anything of real value of your life? Maybe it is time for a change or deletion. We are meant to excel and anything that is slowing that down is not good for the spirit. Live For You!

Being a Beast means being the Best and NOT being Stressed!!!

Wine of The Week

Monday AGAIN.......time to unwind with a glass of delicious vino. To join in the summer activities, I picked a wine that goes perfectly with the hot weather. Indulge in a glass of shiraz by Barefoot. Very fruity taste and slighty dry. Enjoy!!

Word of the Day: Prayer

I read a thought-provoking quote today: "I remember the day I decided to go to church and I went to the altar alone. I said 'God if given the opportunity, I would use it wisely' ". I read that quote a few times. The first time I saw the beauty in the act of the individual, and the next times I reflected on myself. I asked God for this. I prayed for this. Many times we spend all the time asking God for needs and wants without giving much thought to our actions once we receive it. God doesn't bless you for you to take your blessing for granted. Nurture that blessed see and watch it grow.
